Crock Pot Pickled
Pork
Best
left in the fridge in foil to marinate overnight
Mix
together 2 tbsp honey and 2 tbsp wholegrain mustard with a little salt
and black pepper Warm in saucepan on low heat.
Pour over pork and cover well. Wrap and seal in tinfoil pocket.
Place the wrapped pork on an upturned saucer in the crockpot and pour
about an inch of water in the bottom.
Leave on low all day and place still wrapped on bench for half an hour
to rest. Slice and serve

Pickled Pork With
Fruit and Cider
Preheat
crockpot for 20 mins
1.8kg piece of pickled pork 1/2 cup maple syrup 750mls
cider 2 granny smith apples peeled cored and sliced
3/4 cup raisins
Trim meat of any excess fat and then put meat in crockpot. Add the maple
syrup to the crockpot. Pour the cider into a suitable container.
Heat in the microwave or in a saucepan till hot. Pour over the meat in
the crockpot and turn the meat over in the aromatic liquid to coat.
Cover with lid and cook on low for 8 to 10 hrs, if possible turn the
meat 1/2 way through cooking.
At 90 mins before serving add the apples and raisins and cover with lid,
continue cooking for 90 mins.
Remove meat from crockpot, let rest, slice and arrange on a platter
spooning the fruit onto the meat.

Crockpot Sweet and Sour Pork
650g pork cut into 1 inch cubes 1
tbsp oil Brown pork in oil in frypan and
transfer to crockpot.
Mix together:
400g crushed pineapple in juice 1 small green capsicum
chopped 1/2 cup warm water 1/3 cup brown sugar 3
tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp tomato sauce 1 tbsp quick cook tapioca 1/2 tsp
dry mustard.
Pour over pork. Cook on Low for 8-10 hrs or High 4-5hrs.
Serve with rice.

Smoky Mountain Pork
1kg boneless pork, cut into pieces 2 cups tomato soup
1/2 cup ketchup 1/3 cup vinegar 1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp yellow mustard
1 onion, chopped 1 tsp celery seed several slices smoked
pork (or 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon liquid smoke)
Fry meat in a skillet until meat is brown on all sides. Place pork in
slow cooker.
In a bowl combine tomato soup, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard,
onion, celery seed and mix well
Pour mixture over pork. Cook on high 4-5 hours or on low 6-7
hours.

Saucy Country Style
Ribs
Serves
4.
1kg boneless pork ribs 1/4 cup maple
syrup 1 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp minced onion
1/4 tsp ginger 1/4 tsp allspice 1/2 tsp garlic
powder
Ground black pepper
Method:
Place pork in the crockpot Combine remaining
ingredients and pour over pork. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.

Potato and Pork
Sausages
1tbsp oil 8 pork sausages 4 rashers bacon, cut into pieces 1 large
onion 2 garlic cloves crushed 4 large potatoes peeled and thinly
sliced
1/4 tsp fresh sage 11/4 cups vegetable stock salt and pepper.
Method:
Gently cook sausages for few mins until golden coloured and
set aside Add bacon and onion and cook Add garlic and then turn
off heat.
Arrange 1/2 the sliced potato slices in bottom of slow
cooker, add the bacon, onion, garlic mix and sprinkle fresh sage over the mix.
Place on rest of potato slices and add sausages on top.
Pour stock over and cover. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or
until potato is tender.
