Peas
Place your frozen peas in a pot and put in hot water from the tap  Drain off and replace water to just cover peas. 
Add  1/2 x tsp salt  1 x  tsp sugar  a wee dash of mint sauce 
Turn up heat to full and when water boils turn heat off  They will continue to cook slowly in the hot water while sitting on the stove top ready to be served
I hate boiled to death peas

French Peas
Ingredients:
3 x tbsp olive oil  1/4 cup finely chopped  romaine lettuce  700g shelled fresh peas or frozen tiny peas, thawed  1/4 cup minced shallots or white part of  spring onion
1 large whole sprig parsley   2 x tsp sugar  1 tsp salt  1/8 teaspoon WHITE pepper 
Method:
Heat oil in a 3 quart saucepan. Place lettuce on top of oil. Add peas, shallots, parsley, sugar, salt and pepper.
Simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 10 to 15 minutes, or until peas are just tender.  Remove parsley sprig before serving.
